NBA Offseason

Post  HurpDurpHurray on June 24th 2015, 11:33 pm

Draft is tomorrow, should be interesting to see what moves are made.

Also S, I wanted to ask you about the Hornets trade for Batum. They traded away Gerald Henderson, who I like. I think he's a pretty good shooting guard. And then their first round pick from last year who has great potential. All for a guy who had an off-year last season. It also pushes MKG to backup after he improved last season. I don't understand this deal.

Well. The team desperately needs shooters. We were the worst shooting team in the league last season so its kind of desperate. The way this roster was set up there was no way we could compete. Anywho, i'm glad Gerald Henderson is gone, he is a 6th man at best, should be coming off the bench for a contender or something not leading the Hornets. This will sound weird but his production was always kind of negative for us. We have some wannabe Kobe out there who thinks he can take over the game when he cant it just wasnt good 83% of the time. Also the man had no 3 point game. All he had was mid range jump shots.

I'm sad to see Vonleh go as well, thought the kid had loads of potential and we never even got to see what he can really do. I see Batum as Gerald Henderson with Range. So its kind of a plus. He wont push MKG out of the SF I dont think. MKG is our best player (which is kind of sad seeing as how he has no offensive game) But MKG will stay at 3 I assume and Batum will play the shooting guard role, which shouldnt be a problem. It should be a nice fit for Kemba to have those two on the wings.

Having Batum out there should also open up things for Kemba having someone to actually kick the ball out to who can actually shoot worth a damn should be glorious. We also added Kemba's buddy from UCONN Jeremy Lamb as well.

Now. With them dealing Vonleh I don't know how this draft is going to go. Up until today's trade I was sold that were going to take Devin Booker to fill that shooting void, but obviously that is no longer as big of an issue. Crazy of me to say this but with Batum, Lamb, and Hairston on the roster the front office may not see SG as big of a hole anymore. Which means.....they will probably go big. And i've been seeing Kaminsky all day. Boys if we take fuckin Kaminsky, especially if like Cauley-Stein is on the board, i will be furious lol.

Theres my thoughts.

Our front office is clearly in a win now phase. With Frank we know exactly what he will bring to the table, not produce Franklin.

Idk I think he'll venture elsewhere. He doesn't seem wanted there lol plus they're ready to pay Thompson top dolla.

Naa it sounds like he's coming back!

In other news, Raptors got an interview with the man they should have drafted instead of Andrea Bargnani, LaMarcus Aldridge Smile

Good pickup.

I hope the Suns are able to snag Aldridge. Wanna see a small market (kinda) get a player like him. They would be contenders.
Bledsoe - Knight - whoever their 3 is - Aldridge - Tyson Chandler thats really good even with a questionable 3.

And im waiting on the hornets to pick up whoever the hell is going to play back up PG

I wanted to see Aldridge come here but it's not happening. Suns I question though because Knight and Bledsoe are cut from the same cloth and I dunno who would fit at SG

Out of the two of them Knight fits better at the 2. It doesn't really matter tho tbh. But he picked the Spurs so whatever. Thats gonna be a goood team. Parker - Green - Kawhi - Aldridge - Duncan 6th man Manu Boy.

plus after the big 3 are gone they still have Kawhi and Aldridge locked up long term and Pop says he's finishing out his contract (5 more years). Spurs will never fade lol
